An Introduction to Anatomy and Physiology

Do you know your tarsals from your carpals or your triceps from your biceps? Do you ever wonder how our bodies work or what your insides looks like?   This two day workshop will give you a fascinating insight into your body in a clear, easy and creative way.

What can I expect to learn?

  • A basic understanding of the ‘nuts and bolts’ of the body
  • How the 11 body systems work together to maintain balance and health
  • An understanding of some common disorders and their symptoms
  • Anatomical terms that will help you with future studies

Who is this workshop suitable for?

This workshop is a non-accredited course and is equivalent to level 2 in anatomy and physiology. It is open to those at an interest level as well as those wishing to progress to massage-based qualifications ie: ITEC level 3 massage diploma, ITEC anatomy and physiology or other health courses at City Lit.

Do I have to bring anything with me?

Please bring a pen, paper and highlighters to the sessions. Handouts will be provided on the day.
