The Conscious Body – where spirit and matter meet

Breath and the respiratory system

Free introductory online talk

Breath is our lifelong companion. It connects, communicates and constantly responds to our inner and outer worlds. Breath is used to help connect the body with our emotions, our psyche and our relationship to spirit and earth.

In this FREE, live stream talk Doe will take you on a journey into the breath and the respiratory system. This will be through a holistic lens to expand on common held perceptions of the body. You will find out how and why we breathe, explore how breath can restore inner balance, regulate our emotions and deepen your relationship to self, others and nature.

Doe looks at the human body from an esoteric, holistic, embodied and scientific perspective. She draws on her 40 years experience of working with eastern and western healing disciplines which includes anatomy and physiology, Shiatsu, Chinese Medicine, energy work and somatic movement. It has been her personal experience that an understanding of how the body works offers resources that give a sense of grounding that helps integrate body/mind/spirit/earth.

“Breath is the bridge which connects life to consciousness,
which unites your body to your thoughts.”    Thich Nhat Hanh

Join Doe to find out how to bring together anatomical concepts to life with experiential exercises, mindfulness and self-reflection. This talk is a taste for an upcoming course in May.

This talk will be recorded. You will find the recording link in your College Account within two working days from the event – an email will alert you when it is ready. This recording will be available for replay for three months following the event. Please see our terms for more information.

Doe was lovely. Receptive to questions, full of knowledge and easy to listen to. I loved the way the educational side and spiritual side came together. Very informative and I have taken a lot of new concepts away with me.
